In 2010 Jada ask us if she could participate in the Shetland Congress Essay contest, the winner of the contest would get a pony. We agreed and told her if she wanted to enter she would have to write the essay by herself with no adult help and that we would make sure it got mailed in by the deadline. We mailed her essay (which was due well in advance of the Congress show date) and thought that was that...until we got the call! It was very hard to keep the secret but we did and on the final day of the 2010 National Shetland Congress Jada was presented with her very own Shetland gelding by his breeder, Jackie Tyler of Emerald Glenn Farm (hard to say who was grinning bigger in the presentation photo, Jada or Jackie!). Jada promptly gave Naughty By Nature the barn name of Piper. She has worked with Piper this winter and he has been a willing participant in whatever Jada has decided to try with him. She plans on showing him in the summer of 2011. Thanks again to the ASPC and Jackie Tyler for supporting our youth!
